Speaker Series 2024 – Victoria Serda

A Climate Leader, Victoria Serda is a trained presenter for Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project. As well as being an expert on the environment, she specializes in indigenous diplomacy and engagement. Together, these experiences have given her a unique and meaningful perspective which underscores the rationale for a societal shift into sustainable communities. Victoria is a social entrepreneur with a Bachelor of Independent Studies from the University of Waterloo, and has founded and served on a wide variety of not-for-profit corporations, including SauGreen for the Environment, Grey Bruce Sustainability Network and the Climate Reality Project Canada. She was a Municipal Councillor in Saugeen Shores, on the Board of the Community Foundation Grey Bruce, and a Strategic Advisor to Saugeen First Nation’s Band Council, who has been the project manager and fundraiser for millions of dollars of community initiatives. In an earlier career, was an administrator of a 30 worker, 350 acre organic farm.
Victoria will present the solutions available to help individuals and businesses mitigate climate change in their own communities. The presentation is followed by a Q&A to uncover specific concerns facing Grey Highlands residents and to inspire action.
